I did not finish my plan yesterday due to lab works.

I need to have a two-hour block sheet to make sure my writing time is protected.

First, I must finish the report for STEP and send it back to Betty.

Second, I must finish the detail for SILAC study SOP

Third, the application for job position in IRIS.

Monday 6/22/15 post Camp Day 1

I did not finish the full Dissertation Camp. But I still need to finish my dissertation. I started the 'Write-On' program in Writing Center last week.

I need to set up my goal for each day, and calculate the total time I need to finish my first draft of my thesis.

Day 3

Writing

Plan to read and draft the background introduction for Activity Based Protein Profiling (ABPP), which is the proteomics method to profiling proteins based on their functions. The method was established by Dr. Cravatt from Scripps.

Research

Zinc Sulfate and Methanol work for protein precipitation from cell culture media. But only using diethyl ether was not enough to get good recovery rate. Today, I will try different liquid liquid extraction condition to get good recovery rate.
