2015 Summer Dissertation Camp Intro

My name is Miao, and I'm a Ph.D. candidate majored in Human Toxicology.

My research project focuses on the toxicity caused by protein adducts from metabolites of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). The model protein cytochrome c was applied to explore the protein adducts formation by PCB metabolites, and protein functional change after protein adducts formation. The analytical chemistry techniques were established to identify protein adducts from PCB metabolites. My ongoing project is to apply proteomics methods to find out targeted proteins by different PCB metabolites. As a trainee of the Superfund Research Program, my future goal is to protect our environment by my research.

I hope to enjoy two-week writing experiences with all you guys, and finish first three parts of my dissertation.
